HOPE

It has become quite easy to give in to weariness and despair in these days we are in. Several happenings around causing great discouragement.
But I choose to believe and not give up, keep moving and working towards my dreams and the purpose placed in me.
Here's a poem that gives me so much hope.

HOPE by Abioye Bukola

Seconds have turned to minutes
Minutes to hours
Hours to days
Days to weeks
Weeks to months
Months to years

But here I stand
Waiting, wishing,hoping
That it will all come true
My dreams and aspirations

But quietly, hope is leaving
Wish is fading and I can't stand anymore
The future is so bleak
The dreams have faded
What else can I do?
Who can help?

Then I heard a voice say- WAIT!
Not anymore! I can't
My legs are weak
My mind can't imagine
My eyes can't see
Even if it comes, where's the strength to grasp
It will be too late-I replied

But He said to me again- WAIT!
As I lifted my eyes
I saw a light from a distance
Shinning so bright

Then, I realized I could see
My mind is open again
My legs have received strength
I ran very fast to see what it was about
I can't believe my eyes!
Its my dreams and aspirations
They are now more real than I ever imagined
Oh! At last! Oh! What a great joy!

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. 2nd Corinthians 4:16,17
