10 BIBLE VERSES ON SHOWING LOVE TO OTHERS

It’s the season of love around the world. There are ads all around proposing one way or the other to show love to someone or be with someone you love. Not altogether bad; I’m also thinking on ways to show love to my family, friends, readers, and most of all, God.  Personally, I think every day is a day to show love. The Bible talks a lot about love and Jesus says that the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. If everyone is courteous, compassionate and works hard to live at peace with his fellow man, the world will definitely be better. I have a part to play, so do you. Here are some bible verses that encourage us to live in love. So, don’t limit an act of love or care to the 14th of February, live in love all year round. Have a lovely day…..

  • ·        John 15:17    These things I command you, that ye love one another.

·        Romans 12:10  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

·        Ephesians 5:2  And walk in love as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

·        Ephesians 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.

·        Eph 5:28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

·        1John 4:8   He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

·        1John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

·        1Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.

·        Titus 2:4  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.

·        Matthew 22:39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
